Did not watch the entire video, but they are comparing gearboxes and the AWD systems by climbing the ski slope.

Well yes, I can see that. I was wondering very specifically what’s being said.

My german is rusty but this is what I got:
1- 3er is the sportier of them all and the fastest, but not that good in the snow.
2-X5 has enough power, ride height and the rear differential helps so it goes further
3- Lexus is shit.
4- Volvo has a good system but I’m not sure what they say about it.
5-Nissan Patrol is let down by the underpowered diesel engine and something about it having the wrong tires.
6- Audi has the Torsten system, adjustable ride-height and the turbos so it wins by far.

“I am a stuffy reporter with a ridiculous microphone, and these are three old wheeled vehicles on which a test shall now be performed.”

I’m not sure if that’s correct or not, but it’s making me giggle.

The only German I know is “doppelkupplungsgetriebe” (alongside “Mercedes Porsche Volkswagen”), which is a transmission, so it probably isn’t true, but if it is I shall be extremely impressed.

They say the Lexus has a meh system and that Volvo has basically the same but somehow gets further.
Some of the technical stuff they spew out seems inaccurate though so I won’t bother translating it all.
